My phone was stolen. To

126 Troubleshooting
Solution
Report a stolen phone to the police and to your
service provider (the company that sends you
your monthly wireless service bill).
See "If You Forget a Code or Password".
Be sure to press and hold
key) until the display appears and you hear an
audible alert (this could take a couple of
seconds). If nothing happens, check that a
charged battery is installed. See "Charging the
Battery".
The SIM card may be incorrectly inserted. Check
the SIM card to make sure that it is inserted
properly. See "Installing the SIM Card and
Battery".
Be sure to turn your phone off and then back

on after you re-insert the SIM card.
Call your service provider (the company that
sends you your monthly wireless service bill) to
obtain the PIN unblocking key (PUK) code. See
"Unblock the SIM Card PIN Code".
Enter the factory-preset unlock code (1234), or
the last four digits of your phone number. See
"Locking and Unlocking Your Phone". If this fails,
call your service provider (the company that sends
you your monthly wireless service bill).
The application you want is locked. If you own
the phone but do not know the unlock code, see
"If You Forget a Code or Password".
If you see or in the display, then the
ringer is turned off. See "Ring/Vibrate".
Also, the ringer may be set to
your phone is set to a ring alert profile. See

The ringer may be set to play a tone even though
