If you have a dual-line-enabled SIM
card, you can change your line to make and
receive calls from your other phone
number.
s > w Settings > Phone Status > Active Line
The active line indicator shows the active
phone line (see illustration on page 52).

Note: The phonebook entry must be stored
in phone memory, and an Email address
must be stored with the entry.
s > n Phonebook, scroll to the entry, press
Options > Send Email.

Store additional phone numbers or email
addresses for an entry:
s > n Phonebook, scroll to the entry, press
Options > Edit Contact, press Options
> Add Number or Add Email.
Note: This option isn't available for entries
stored on the SIM card.

fixed dial
When you turn on fixed dialling, you
can call only numbers stored in the fixed
dial list.
Note: You must enter your SIM PIN2 code
to turn fixed dialling on or off. If you forget
your PIN2 code, contact your service
provider.
Turn fixed dialling on or off:
s > w Settings > Security > Fixed Dial
Use the fixed dial list:
s > É Tools > Dialling services > Fixed Dial

Dial phone numbers stored by your
service provider:
s > É Tools > Dialling services > Quick Dial
Edit the quick dial list:
s > w Settings > Personalise > Quick Dial
DTMF tones
Activate DTMF tones:
s > w Settings > Initial Setup > DTMF
To send DTMF tones during a call, just
press number keys, or scroll to a number in
the phonebook or recent calls lists, then
press Options > Send Tones.

assign a speed dial key to a phonebook
entry
You can assign keys 1 to 9 to
phonebook entries. Then, when you press
and hold a key, your phone calls the entry.
Note: Your service provider might have
assigned some keys, such as 1 for your
voicemail number.
To assign a speed dial key, press s
> n Phonebook, scroll to the phonebook
entry, then press Options > Add to Speed Dial
and pick a speed dial key.

To add or delete phonebook entries from
the speed dial list:
s > n Phonebook, then press Options
> Manage Contacts > Speed Dial.

Note: Your phonebook can show the entries
stored in phone memory or on the SIM card.
To choose which entries you see, press
s > n Phonebook, then press Options > View.
You can select Phone & SIM Card, SIM Card, or
Phone Contacts.

Note: To store an email address with a
phonebook entry, you must store the entry
in phone memory. Entries stored on the
SIM card can contain only Name and Number
information.
s > n Phonebook, press Options > Create
New > Phone Contact. Enter a name, Email
address, other details as needed. Press Done
to store the entry.

edit or delete an entry
Press s > n Phonebook, scroll to the
phonebook entry, then press Options. You
can select Edit Contact, Delete Contact, or other
options.
Shortcut: In the phonebook, press keypad
keys to enter the first letters of an entry you
want. You can also press * and # to see
the entries you use frequently, or entries in
other categories.
