2 Scroll to the ringtone you want, then
press the centre key s.
time & date
Your phone can automatically update your
time zone, time and date. It uses the time and
date for the Datebook.
To synchronise the time zone, time, and
date with the network: Press
s > w Settings > Initial Setup
> Time and Date > Autoupdate > Time & Time Zone. If
you don't want your phone to automatically
update the time zone and date, choose Time
Only instead.
To manually set the time zone, time, and date,
turn off Autoupdate, then: Press
s > w Settings > Initial Setup > Time and Date
> Time Zone, time or date. To jump to a city in
the time zone list, enter the first letter of its
name by pressing keypad keys.

To choose an analogue or digital clock for
your home screen, press s > w Settings
> Personalise > Home screen > Clock.

wallpaper

Set a photo, picture, or animation as a
wallpaper (background) image in your home
screen.
Find it: s > w Settings > Personalise
> Wallpaper
options
Press S up or down to select a
Picture
picture for your wallpaper
image, or None for no wallpaper.
Layout Select Centre to centre the image
in the display, Tile to repeat the
image across the display, or
Fit-to-screen to stretch the image
across the display.

ring styles

Each ring style uses a different set of
ringtones or vibrations for incoming calls and
other events. The Silent profile silences your
phone until you set another ring style. The
profile indicator shows at the top of the home
screen:

Î Vibrate Ì Vibe & Ring
ö Vibe then Ring Í Silent
To choose your profile:
Find it: s > w Settings > Ring Styles > Style
> style name

screen saver

Tip: This feature helps save your screen, but
not your battery. To extend battery life, turn
off the screen saver.
Find it: s > w Settings > Personalise > Screen
Saver
options
Press S up or down to select
Picture
an image for your screen saver,
or None for no screen saver.
Delay Select the length of inactivity
before the screen saver shows
in the display.
Note: The screen saver does not appear
when the slider is closed and the keypad lock
timer is on (for more information about the
keypad lock timer, see page 39).
Shortcut: You can quickly set your ringer to
Vibrate or Silent by repeatedly pressing the
down volume key in the home screen (see
illustration on page 57).
change profile settings
You can change the ringtones for incoming
calls and other events. Your changes are
saved in the current profile.
Note: You can't set a ringtone for the Silent
profile.
Find it: s > w Settings > Ring Styles
> style Detail
1 Scroll to CALLS (or Line 1 or Line 2 for
dual-line phones), then press the
Change key to change it.

display appearance

To choose a phone skin that sets the look and
feel of your phone's display: Press
s > w Settings > Personalise > Skin.
To set your display brightness: Press
s > w Settings > Initial Setup > Brightness.
To save battery life, the keypad backlight can
turn off when you're not using your phone.
The backlight turns back on when you
open/close the slider or press any key. To set
how long your phone waits before the
backlight turns off:
Press s > w Settings > Initial Setup > Backlight.
