Start-up guide

This elegant chest conceals a magic music box:
butterfly and playing an enchanting music. It will become the ideal ornament to decorate
your room.
Before you start playing with your Barbie magic music box, please read the following
instructions to help you discover the fairyhood surrounding the life of a Barbie princess,
and request the assistance of an adult in order to read and understand the safety
warnings.
On the underside of the music box, you will find a button that can be moved to

3 different positions:
OFF: Move the button to this position to turn off your magic music box
and save on batteries once you have finished playing.
LO: This position with turn on your magic music box in standard volume mode.
HI: This position with turn on your magic music box in high-volume mode.
2 Lift open the lid of your music box and listen to the nice melody
being played. The mirror illuminates with wonderful light effects to
make you look beautiful.
3 Use the crank handle to change the melody and transform your
room into a real princess ball thanks to the 20 different melodies
included!
4 Pull the butterfly-shaped handle and discover a secret drawer
where you can hide your little princess jewels and ornaments.

not part of this toy and should be discarded for your child's safety.

Battery information

Barbie Magic Music Box works with 3 x 1,5V
(not included).
1. Using a screwdriver, open the battery compartment cover
located underneath the music box.
2. Install the 3 x AAA alkaline type batteries observing the
polarity indicated at the bottom of the battery compartment,
and as per the diagram shown opposite.
3. Close the battery compartment and tighten the screw.
Do not use rechargeable batteries. Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged. Recharge-
able batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision. Different types of batteries
or new and used batteries are not to be mixed. Only batteries of the same or equivalent
type as recommended are to be used. Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity.
Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy. The supply terminals are not to be
short circuited. Do not throw batteries into a fire. Remove the batteries if you are not going
to use the game for a long period of time.
WARNING: If the unit malfunctions or receives an electrostatic shock, remove the batter-
ies and insert them again.
