Connections and adjustments

Presentation
These active loudspeaker enclosures are fitted with a stereo amplifier, thus allowing you to
reproduce the sound of any portable or pocket cassette or CD player, radio or other set
simply by connecting the active speakers to the earphone jack of the latter.The speakers
independent power supply provides stereo effects, whatever the output power of the set they
are connected to.The loudspeaker enclosures are fitted with a shielding so that they cause no
electromagnetic interference when connected to a computer.
Installation
Consult the diagram at the start of the instructions (inside cover) and follow these instructions.
1a. If you decide to use your speakers without the AC adapter, open the battery compartment
in the right hand speaker (the speaker with the adjustment knobs) and insert eight AA
batteries, in the direction shown by the symbols inside the battery compartment.
Important note: If you install standard batteries (non rechargeable), you must set the switch in the bottom
of the compartment to the

RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES
1b. If you decide to use your speakers with the AC adapter supplied, plug it into the DC IN
socket on the right hand speaker.
2. Connect the left hand speaker to the AUDIO OUT socket on the right hand speaker.
3. Connect the right hand speaker (AUDIO IN) to the device (Walkman, DiscMan, radio
receiver, computer, etc.) of which you wish to amplify the sound.
4. Plug the AC adapter into a 220 V - 50 Hz power outlet.
5. Turn on the device and adjust its volume before turning on the speakers.
6. Adjust the sound volume of the speakers using the knob located on the base of the right
hand speaker.
7. Switch the speakers on using the POWER on/off button and adjust the volume.
