Problem and possible causes
The fryer does not work
• The thermostat is on ( * ).
• The safety system is operating.
• The control unit is not correctly positioned.
The frying oil overflows
• The Max. marker for filling the bowl has been
exceeded.
• Food is wet or contains too much water
(frozen food).
• The basket was lowered too quickly into the
oil.
• Different types of oil/fat have been mixed.
• Cooking fresh chips at 180°/190° for the first
fry.
The food does not become golden, and remains soft
• The cooking time was too short.
• The cooking temperature is too low.
• The frying basket is overloaded.
The chips stick together
• Unwashed food immersed in hot oil.
Unpleasant odours
• Burnt crumbs are stuck to the Clean Oil
System.
• Not changing the oil often enough
• Unsuitable oil or fat has been used.
Other problem
• The indicator light does not come on.

Any repairs must only be carried out by an Approved Service Centre with the
manufacturer's own replacement parts.
If your fryer does not work properly
Solutions
• Turn the thermostat to the selected temperature.
• Press the "reset" button, which is located at the
back of the fryer. If the problem persits, please
contact our Customer Relations Team.
• To prevent this, use the guide slots to correctly
position the control unit.
• Check the oil level (Max.), and remove the
excess.
• Fry the food in small quantities (particularly
frozen food).
Remove any ice and dry the food thoroughly.
• Lower the basket slowly and keep a close eye on
the oil level.
• Empty and clean the bowl. Refill the bowl with
one type of oil (see page 3).
• It is important to double-fry freshly made chips
(see page 5 and 6).
• Increase cooking time.
• Set the thermostat to the recommended
temperature.
• Fry the food in small quantities
• Wash potatoes well and dry them thoroughly.
• Wash the Clean Oil System.
• Renew the oil after 8 to 12 uses (see page 3) or
more frequently depending on the oil.
• Use a good quality vegetable oil (see page 3).
