Recording from an external source

. Press [4 DECK 2 OPEN] and insert the tape.
Close the holder by hand.
Press [REV MODE] to select the reverse mode.
Press [AUX 1/2] to select the external source.
. Press [@ REC/STOP].
Recording starts.
. Start playback from the external source.

Reduce the volume level, and connect the headphones.

Avoid listening for prolonged periods of time to prevent hearing

Press [-DISPLAY/-DEMO] to select the desired spectrum
analyzer.
Every time you press the button:

This feature is convenient when you have a telephone call, etc.
Press [MUTING].
Press the button again to cancel.
"MUTING" goes out.
Muting can also be cancelled by lowering the volume all the way
(--dB).
When the system is turned off, the muting operation will be auto-
matically cancelled.
