Disc handling precautions
Handing
Hold compact discs so that you do not
touch the playing surface.
Label side
Playing side
Do not attach paper or tape to either the
playing side or the label side of compact
dises.
Note related to transportation and movement
(CD player)
Before transporting or moving this unit, carry out the following
:
operation.

1. With the door panel closed, set the POWER switch to OFF.
2. Wait a few seconds, then disconnect the power plug.
3. Take out all discs from the racks and close the door panel.
4. Turn the unit upside down and attach the transport screws.

Cleaning
if fingerprints or foreign matter become
attached to the disc, lightly wipe the disc
with a soft cotton cloth (or similar) fram the
center of the disc outwards in aradial manner.
Storage
When a disc is not to be played foralong

period of time, remove it from the CD player
and store it in its case.
Never play cracked or warped disc.
During playback, the disc rotates at high speed in the player.
Therefore, to avoid danger, never use a cracked or deformed disc or
a disc repaired with tape or adhesive agent.

Periodic inspection
This unit incorporates an optical pickup which is a precision device.
itis recommended to have this unit inspected periodically to clear the
pickup after about 1000 hours of use, although this period may vary
depending on the installation condition (temperature, humidity, dust,
smoke, etc.) of the unit.
The unit has inspected, please consult your dealer or a KENWOOD
service center in your area.
