Introduction
The L5250AH™* 5250 Local Adapter Handler software lets IBM's
AS/400™* PC Support™* program run on a Multi-Tech 5250 twinax card
installed in your PC or Personal System/2™*. This product replaces the
hardware adapter handler supplied with IBM's AS/400 PC Support
package.

Requirements
To run the 5250 Local Adapter Handler, you must have an IBM PC, XT,
AT, PS/2 Model 25, 30, 50, 60, 70 or 80, or another personal computer
that is compatible with one of these models. Your PC or PS/2 must have
the following features:
• At least one disk drive.
• The MS-DOS or PC-DOS operating system, release 3.3 or later, or a
compatible operating system.
• IBM's AS/400 PC Support package.
•
At least SK of user memory to use the Adapter Handler, in addition to
the user memory AS/400 PC Support requires.
• A Multi-Tech 5250 twinax hardware adapter card.
To run AS/400 PC Support, your PC or PS/2 must be attached to an
AS/400 host either directly or via a 5394 controller. Note that 5294 and
5250 Model 12 controller types do not support AS/400 PC Support.
