Connecting the handle to the suction
tube (Fig. 04)
 Insert the handle into the suction
tube until it clicks into position. To do
this, line up the guides on the two
pieces.
 To detach the handle from the suction
tube, press the release catch and pull
the handle out of the suction tube,
twisting it slightly as you do so.
Connecting the telescopic tube to the
floorhead (Fig. 05)
 Push the telescopic tube into the
floorhead and turn it clockwise or
anti-clockwise until it clicks into posi-
tion.
 To detach the floorhead from the suc-
tion tube press the release button and
pull the suction tube away from the
floorhead, twisting it slightly as you
do so.
Inserting batteries into the LED handle
(Fig. 06 + 07)
(depending on model)
 Loosen the screw on the cover.
 Press in the sides of the cover to re-
lease the retainers and remove the
cover.
 Take out the battery holder and insert
the 3 batteries supplied. Make sure
the polarity is correct.
 Refit the battery holder. Arrows are
marked on the battery holder and
battery compartment as a fitting aid.
They should point in the same direc-
tion.
 Replace the cover and tighten the
screw back up again.
Activating the timestrip® filter change
indicator on the exhaust filter
Depending on the model, your vacuum
cleaner will be fitted as standard with
one of the following exhaust filters (Fig.
08):
a AirClean
b AirClean Plus 50 (light blue)
c Silence AirClean 50 (grey)
d Active AirClean 50 (black)
e HEPA AirClean 50 (white)
If your vacuum cleaner is fitted with ex-
haust filter c, d or e, you need to activ-
ate the timestrip® filter change indic-
ator.
 Press the release catch in the re-
cessed grip for the dust compartment
lid and raise the lid as far as it will go
(Fig. 09).
 Remove the indicator strip (Fig. 10).
 Press the timestrip® filter change in-
dicator (Fig. 11).
After approx. 10–15 seconds, a thin red
line will appear in the left-hand side of
the display (Fig. 12).
Damage due to contamination in
the dust compartment
Large quantities of dust may enter
the dust compartment and damage
components if the dustbag has not
clicked into position.
Before closing the dust compartment
lid, make sure that the dustbag has
been inserted so that it has clicked
into position.
