This publication is a revision of the Xerox Sigma Removable Disk Storage System/Reference Manual, Publication
Number 90 16 71A (dated April 1970). The significant addition to the manual is the new section "I/O Faults and
Recovery Procedures". A change in text from that of the previous manual is indicated by a vertical line in the
margin of the page.
