ZONE 2

Controlling Zone 2

Use the supplied remote control, Zone 2 remote control
(R-S700 only) or front panel to control the input source or
adjust the sound output level of Zone 2 independently of
the listening conditions in the main room.
* Sound output level can be adjusted on the R-S700 only.
Note
When using the R-S500, follow the procedure described in
"Using the remote control" and "Using the front panel".
■ Using the Zone 2 remote control (R-S700
only)

Press (Zone 2 on) on the Zone 2 remote
control to turn on Zone 2.

Use the Zone 2 remote control as desired.
For information about each of the buttons on the
Zone 2 remote control, see "Zone 2 remote control
(R-S700 only)" on page 10.

Change the zone that is operated by the
remote control.
• To control the Main zone
(Zone 2 on)
Press and hold the MAIN/ZONE 2 button and the
numeric button 1 on the remote control together for
about 3 seconds.
• To control Zone 2
Press and hold the MAIN/ZONE 2 button and the
numeric button 2 on the remote control together for
about 3 seconds.

Use the remote control as desired.
For information about the buttons that can be used to
control Zone 2, see "Remote control" on page 8.
Buttons that can be used to control Zone 2 are
indicated by "
■ Using the front panel

Press ZONE 2 on the front panel to turn on
Zone 2.

Press ZONE 2 CONTROL on the front panel
to control Zone 2.
The ZONE 2 indicator on the front panel display
blinks for about 10 seconds. During this time, you
can control Zone 2 from the front panel.

can be used to control Zone 2, see "Front panel" on
page 4. Buttons and controls that can be used to
