Volume
MaxVol, IniVol
Submenus:
Adjustable range
–30.0dB to +15.0dB, +16.5dB* (5.0 dB step)
(MaxVol):
Adjustable range
Off*, Mute, –89.5dB to +16.5dB (0.5 dB step)
(IniVol):
Sets items for volumes.
MaxVol (Maximum volume)
Sets the maximum volume level so that the volume will not
be accidentally increased above a certain level. For
example, you can adjust the volume between –89.5 dB and
–5.0 dB (or Mute) when you set this parameter to "–5.0dB".
The volume can be increased to the maximum level when
this parameter is set to +16.5 dB (default).
IniVol (Initial volume)
Sets the volume at the time this unit is turned on. When
this parameter is set to "Off", the volume level used when
this unit was set to standby is applied.
Note
If "MaxVol" is set to a value lower than the "IniVol" setting, the
setting for "MaxVol" overrides the "IniVol" setting. For
example, if you set "MaxVol" to "–30.0dB" and "IniVol" to
"0.0dB", the volume is automatically set to "–30.0dB" the next
time this unit is turned on.
Zone2 Volume (R-S700 only)
MaxVol, IniVol
Submenus:
Adjustable range
–30.0dB to +15.0dB, +16.5dB* (5.0 dB step)
(MaxVol):
Adjustable range
Off*, Mute, –89.5dB to +16.5dB (0.5 dB step)
(IniVol):
Sets the maximum volume level and initial volume level
of Zone 2.
MaxVol (Maximum volume)
Sets the maximum volume level for Zone 2. Refer to
"MaxVol (Maximum volume)" above.
IniVol (Initial volume)
Sets the volume at the time Zone 2 is turned on. Refer to
"IniVol (Initial volume)" above.

The "ZONE 2" indicator on the front panel display flashes when
the Zone2 volume is adjusted.
SETTING THE OPTION MENU FOR EACH INPUT SOURCE
Note
If "MaxVol" is set to a value lower than the "IniVol" setting, the
setting for "MaxVol" overrides the "IniVol" setting. For
example, if you set "MaxVol" to "–30.0dB" and "IniVol" to
"0.0dB", the volume is automatically set to "–30.0dB" the next
time this unit is turned on.
Trigger Out (R-S700 only)
Mode
Submenu:
Power*, Source, Manual
Choices:
Use this feature to select the functions of the TRIGGER
OUT jack of this unit.
Power
Select this setting to send the voltage signals while the
selected zone is turned on.
Source
Select this setting to send the voltage signals while the
input source is selected.
Manual
Select this setting to send the voltage signals manually.
Note
The settings that are available depend on the mode (Power,
Source, or Manual) that is selected.
Power: Zone
Source: Zone and Output level for each input source
Manual: Manual test
Zone
Choices: All*, Main, Zone 2
Select the zone to apply the setting you selected in
"Mode".
All
The "Mode" setting is applied to the Main zone and
Zone 2.
Main
The "Mode" setting is applied to the Main zone only.
Zone 2
The "Mode" setting is applied to Zone 2 only.
