NOTE: All front panel push switches are "on" when depressed and "off' when out.
1. POWER SWITCH/INDICATOR LED
To tum the power ON or OFF, depress the POWER SWITCH in or out. Illumination of the red power LED
indicates the receiver is ON. If the LED fails to light when the POWER SWITCH is depressed, check whether
the AC power cord is accidentally disconnected, whether the AC outlet is functioning, or whether the main
fuse on the rear panel is blown (open).
2. SPEAKER SWITCHES
Depressing'these switches allows selection of the main speakers"A", the remote speakers "B", both sets, or
neither. If two sets of speakers are to be operated simultaneously, check to be certain that the minimum im-
pedance of each speaker is 8 ohms. If the sets are operated individually, 4 ohm minimum impedance is ac-
ceptable.
3. ULTRA LOW BASS EQ SWITCH
When "ON" provides precise equalization for Sherwood S-OI, S-02 and S-03 Time Compensated Speaker
Systems to extend their response to 28Hz. The 6dB of boost provided at 30Hz will help extend the response
of any speaker system. Also attenuates all frequencies below 30Hz at 12dB per octave to effectively eliminate
any subsonic problems or interactions.
4. NOISE FILTER
In the ON position, frequencies above 8KHz are atteniJated 12dB/octave cutoff characteristic. This helps
elinlinate noise from scratched records, tape or FM hiss, etc.
