5.2 Print Timing
This adjustment i is used for print timing and it is ad-
justed using the following procedure:
1. Turn onthe power switch while holding the Func-
tion switch actuated.
2. Check the print timings comparing the "H" pat-
tern from line to line.
Note: This adjustment can select eight different print-
ing speeds. When entering this mode, "Speed
1" (Draft Print) is automatically selected as the
standard speed for all modes. Pressing the
ON LINE switch, steps through the other seven
speeds. !f one print speed is more frequently
used, select the proper speed by pressing the
ON LINE switch.
3. If the print timing is misaligned, adjust it by turn-
Ing the VR1.
Note: The value of the variable resistor is printed out
in Hex. code in the line of "H" characters. Use
this Hex code for reference when performing
this adjustment.
Note: If the second line of the "H" pattern is shifted
by more than half of an "H" character, check
the printing mechanism is normal before start-
ing adjustment.
