DocuSP 2.1 to 3.6 Differences Document
Ø The DocuSP 3.6 controller provides job submission via XDS
Plus running as an applet within a client web browser. The
supported browsers are Netscape Navigator 4.x and
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.x and 5.x.
Ø The DocuSP 3.6 controller also supports job submission
through an HTTP gateway using the DocuSP Web Client
supported by Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.x and 5.x only.
Ø Administration tool allows messages generated by the
DocuSP controller or attached printer to be accessed at a
client workstation. Messages include printer status, job
status, controller status
NOTE: XDS Plus job tickets are stored in the Xerox Printing
Instruction Format, XPIF. The 2.7 version of the printer
drivers and Xerox Document Submission software stores job
tickets in ASCII format. The two types of job tickets are not
interchangeable.
