step
in
the
repair
of
a microphone
is
a functional
check
of
the
complete
unit.
This
can
be
carried
out
by connecting
the
microphone
to
an
amplifier
or
tape
recorder
and
speaking
into
it.
This
method
is however
not
very
informative.
The
sensi-
tivity,
maximal
pressure
level
and
noise
level
of
the
microphone
cannot
be determined
in
this
manner.
We
therefore
recommend
the
