Response To A Call
When the 1182 answers, your caller
hears either a pre-recorded Main Greet-
ing ("No one is available to take your
call. *Y) or your custom Main Greeting.
The caller responds to the Main Greet-
ing by selecting a mailbox using the ap-
propriate key on the telephone (rotary
phone users will be routed to mailbox 1
to leave a message). The caller then
hears either the pre-recorded Mailbox
Greeting ("Please leave your message af-
ter the tone.' or personalized greeting
such as: "Hi, this is Mike. | can't an-
swer your call at this time, but leave
your name and number and I'll get back
to you."
A caller can return to the Main Greeting
by pressing [0] while in any mailbox.
Call Forward Operation
When a caller selects a mailbox set for
Call Forward, the unit prompts: "To re-
cord a message,
press O. To forward
your call, press 1." \f the caller presses
{1] the
1182 then uses the second line
to dial and forward the call.
Pager Notify/Remote Notify
If Call Forward, Pager Notify, and Re-
mote Notify are all activated, the caller
will not be offered the Pager Notify
and/or Remote Notify options unless the
caller presses [0] to leave a message or
if the Call Forward attempt was unsuc-
cessful.
Specific operation depends on the inter-
action of Call Forward, Remote Notify
and Pager Notify features as described
below:
40
1. If Remote Notify and Pager Notify are
both off, the caller hears the Mailbox
Greeting and can leave a message.
2. If Remote Notify is on, the caller is
prompted:
"If your message is ur-
gent, press 1. If your message is not
urgent, press 2." If the caller presses
[1], the unit calls the Remote Notify
number (after the caller leaves a mes-
sage and hangs up), and informs the
owner of an urgent message. If the
caller presses [2], the 1182 takes
the message
without informing the
owner.
3. If just Pager Notify is on, the caller is
prompted:
"To leave a message,
press 2. To call forward to pager,
press 3." If the caller presses [2], the
unit plays the Mailbox Greeting and
takes a message. If the caller presses
[3], the call is forwarded to the pager
service.
4. If Remote Notify and Pager Notify are
both on, the caller is prompted "/f
your message is urgent, press 1. If
your message is not urgent, press 2.
To call forward to pager, press 3."
\f
the caller presses [3], the call is for-
warded to the pager number.
