Dialing Functions
Speed Dial
Program, Change or Delete a Speed Dial
Number:
1. Press the button marked SPEED DIAL.
The icons [+] and [4] appear along with
icons (1-9) for any speed dial num-
bers already programmed.
If speed dial numbers are programmed,
the 1182 will say: "Press number to
speed dial or press [*] to program."
If no speed dial numbers are pro-
grammed, the 1182 will just say
"Press « to program."
2. Press the button below [+]. Icons [1] -
[9] will appear.
3. Press a button below any numerical
icon. If a number exists, the 1182
will prompt you to enter a new num-
ber (press 1) or to delete the number
(press 3). If no number has been pro-
grammed, the 1182 will prompt you
to enter a new Speed Dial number.
4. Enter a Speed Dial number and then
press the button below [4]. You can
enter numbers and pauses just as
you program Call Forward numbers.
See page 28, Entering Special Num-
bers.
The 1182 will return you to Step 2
above. You can repeat the steps
above or press the [4] to exit.

Use Speed Dial:
1. Press the button marked SPEED DIAL.
Icons [1] - [9] will appear for each
number programmed.
The 1182 will
say: "Press number to speed dial or
press + to program."
2. Press the button corresponding to the
Speed Dial number you want to dial.
The 1182 will go off hook and dial
the number. You will hear dial tone
and then the DTMF tones over the
speaker as the call is dialed. When
the called party answers, pick up the
handset on your telephone to begin
your conversation.
Set the Auto Redial Delay Time:
This function controls the amount of
time between redial attempts when us-
ing the Auto Redial function.
1. Press the button marked SPEED DIAL.
Icons [+] and [4] will appear ([1] - [9]
will also appear for any Speed Dial
numbers already programmed).
2. Press the button below [+]. Icons [1] -
[9], [+] and [4] will appear. The
1182 will prompt you:
"Select speed dial number to record
or press " for more functions."
3. Press the button below [+] again.
Icons [1], [2], [0], and [#] will ap-
pear. The 1182 will prompt you:
"To program the time to repeat dial,
press 1. To program the line for
speed dial functions, press 2."
4. Press the button below [1]. Icons [1],
[2], [3], [O], and [4] will appear. The
1182 will prompt you:

"To wait 30 seconds to repeat
dial, press 1. To wait 1 minute to
repeat dial, press 2. To wait 3
minutes to repeat dial, press 3.
To repeat the menu, press O. To
exit from menu, press #.
5. Once you have made your selection,
you are returned to Step 3 above.
Press [4] to exit.
Set the Line Used for Dialing Features:
1. Press the button marked SPEED DIAL.
Icons [+] and [4] will appear ([1] - [9]
will also appear for any Speed Dial
numbers already programmed).
2. Press the button below [+]. Icons [1] -
[9], [#] and [4] will appear. The
1182 will prompt you:
"Select speed dial number to record
or press » for more functions."
3. Press the button below [+] again.
Icons [1], [2], [0], and [4] will ap-
pear. The 1182 will prompt you:
"To program the time to repeat dial,
press 1. To program the line for
speed dial functions, press 2."
4. Press the button below [2]. Icons [1],
[2], [3], [0], and [4] will appear. The
1182 will prompt you:
"To use line 1, Press [1]. To use line
2 only for dialing features, press [2].
To use line 1 and 2 for dialing fea-
tures, press [3]."
5. After making your selection, you will
return to Step 1 above. Press [4] to
exit.
