10 DECOMMISSIONING THE EM DEVICE

Before dismantling and scrapping the EM device, disconnect the
power supply by unplugging it.
The EM device must be decommissioned by skilled personnel with
appropriate PPE, as set forth in the regulations and in the country
where the device is installed
The EM device contains electronic components, electromechanical
components and plastic and metal parts. Each part must be
dismantled and disposed of separately, according to the regulations
in force regarding the disposal of industrial solid waste (WEEE
Directive 2002/96/EC) or of the country of destination outside Europe.
The handpieces consist of the following materials:
– Painted plastic material (fireproof ABS) for the structure.
– Stainless steel for the massage rollers of the MAXI d.e.s. and MINI d.e.s. handpieces
– Mylar/ABS for the replaceable flaps of the MAXI d.e.s. and MINI d.e.s. handpieces
– Stainless steel on the MAXENERGY handpiece
– Nickel steel on the Vixò handpiece
Other materials used to build the EM device are:
– Painted plastic material (fireproof ABS) for the outer casing of the main body
– Galvanised iron for the support frame and the side handles
– Polycarbonate for the top transparent screen
– Polyester for the protective sheaths of the connecting cables of the handpieces
– Materials and electrical/electronic components
The EM device does not have a preset service life. However, the duration can depend on
the availability of parts on the market, for which the manufacturer guarantees a 10-year
period of availability.
