The complete overhaul of the EM device entails replacing the
consumables.
This assessment and replacement must be carried out by specialised
MANTIS technicians in agreement with the customer.
The complete overhaul of the device prolongs the service life of all the
parts that are not subject to wear.
Periodically fully service the device, and clean the handpieces and
filters
Do not use aggressive detergents to clean the device, as they can
damage parts, functions or safety devices.
8.1.1 CLEANING AND DISINFECTING THE
MAXI d.e.s. and MINI d.e.s. HANDPIECES
Remove the flaps using the supplied key.
Clean them with a wet wipe or soft cloth
dampened with a solution of water and 10%
antiseptic.
Also clean the rollers and the contact surface of
the handpiece with the same solution.
Remove any residue from inside the
handpiece, using a cotton swab.
Close the rollers inwards using your fingers and perform the same step.
Remove any residue that may clog the suction system.
Make sure the flap is fitted correctly in place by checking its tightness.
Do not lubricate, dampen or use abrasive materials to clean the
handpieces.
If the inside of the handpiece is damp after cleaning, dry it well and
wait before restarting the device.
Any liquid, cream, oil or other substance that comes into contact with
the suction system of the device irreparably jeopardises its entire
operation, causing it to malfunction and stop.
