8.1.4 REMOTE ASSISTANCE

The MR991 EM device is designed to set up a remote connection directly with MANTIS,
which allows MANTIS technicians to work on the device in real time so as to run an initial
diagnosis in case of a malfunction.
The remote assistance centre interacts with the device by setting it in stand-by mode;
during assistance, the device does not work and cannot be used.
Remote assistance can only be carried out using a cable ADSL
connection (available port).
The ADSL connection must be stable and never interrupted during
assistance.
Make sure that the connections are correct and safe to avoid
interruptions during the connection.
During remote assistance, MANTIS technicians do not have the option
of downloading any sensitive data from the device or from the USB
stick, if connected.
Perform the steps described in chapter 6.4.4 and connect the cable to the relative input
and connect the other end of the cable to the ADSL router (if available).
Make sure that the used port is free and accessible for a remote connection (blocked).
Turn the EM device on or re-boot it if is already on.
Press the assistance button on the screen (A) to go to
the next page.
Select OPTIONS in the window (B) at the top left of the
touch-screen.
Then press the "call tele-assistance" button (C).
After a few moments the screen will indicate that the
connection has been successful.
