1/0 Assembly Switches
The I

0 Assembly switches are located at the rear of
the lower unit. Functionally, the switches are divided
into the three address switches, the
CE
test switch, and
the terminator switch.

Address Switches ( 1, 2,
and
3)
The first three switches from the left of the switch
module are address switches. Each display . station has
a
discrete address identifiable by the controller. This
address is set into the display station by means of the
address switches. Each switch has
a
discrete binary
value that allows an address range from 0 to 6. An
address of
7
is incorrect. The switch setting summary
table shows how these switches are coded.

Test Switch

The CE test switch is used along with power-on
diagnostics by the customer engineer for intermittent
fault isolation. For further information, see' reference

Terminator Switch
The terminator switch is on the I

0 assembly at the rear
of the lower unit. This switch, when at position
1.
supplies electrical termination of the communications
line when the display station is either the last station or
the only station on the line. If the station is not the last
or only station on the line, the terminator switch must
be positioned at
