If you press the CLOSE-UP button, CLOSE-UP appears in
the display and the subject is enlarged by 1.5x.
It digitally enlarges the central portion of the image.
Pressing the CLOSE-UP button again returns the subject to
its original size.
CLOSE-UP can be combined with the Extra Long Digital
Zoom (p. 40) to produce a magnification of 440x.
Notes:
• When you want to get as close as possible to your subject, keep the zoom at the
wide-angle position. You can focus on a subject as close as 1 cm (3/8 in).
• Image resolution is lower when the magnification is greater than 22x.
• Optical Zooming and Digital Zooming can also be operated from the wireless
controller. However, CLOSE-UP and Extra Long Digital Zoom (p. 40) must
first be selected from the camcorder body.
