Music Sensor Operation
When you press
or BP during playback, playback will
start from the beginning of the desired selection.
When it is pressed in the pause mode, the deck enters the
pause mode at the beginning of the designated selection.
Press il or » to resume playback.
For this operation, the start ID codes must be written on the
tape.
For how to write the start ID, see page 26.
To locate the selection ahead
Press PP.
Each pressing advances the tape to the next
selection in sequence.

To designate five selections ahead, press m1 five times.

When the designated selection is located,
playback resumes.

The display shows "O" and then goes off.
To locate the previous selection

Each pressing moves the tape to the previous
selection in sequence.

To designate three selection back (excluding the selection
being played), press K€ four times.
When the designated selection is located,
playback resumes.

When designating the selection being played back, "-0"
appears.
You can designate a selection by pressing the numeric
buttons, instead of pressing ¢<
or m1 several times.
In this case, press k¢< or pm
after pressing the
numeric buttons.
For this operation, the start ID codes must be written
on the tape. For how to write the start ID codes, see
page 26.
1 During the stop mode, press MUSIC SCAN.
The MUSIC SCAN and the scan time indicators at the
FADE blink.
2 Press » (play).
The tape is rewound to the beginning, the first part of each
selection (start ID position) is played back for the time you
designated sequentially.
The START ID indicator lights during playback.

When you press 1
instead of » (play)
The nearest start ID after the current position is detected,
and, after playing back the first part of that selection for the
time you designated, the next start ID in the forward
direction is located.
This operation continues until the end of the tape.

and, after playing back the first part of that selection for the
time you designated, the next start ID in the reverse
direction is located.
This operation continues until the top of the tape.
To designate the desired scan time
While the scan time indicator at the FADE blinks in step 1,
press << or mR.
You can designate the scan time up to
15 seconds in steps of
asecond.
The scan time is 8
seconds if the scan time is not desingated.
