-NOTE-
Due to initial belt stretch and to prevent the belt
from slipping, check this adjustment after the first
2 hours, 4 hours and 8 hours of operation.
4. Reinstall the belt cover after the adjustments have been made.

6.7 BELT ALIGNMENT

Belt alignment is important for proper performance of your Scag mower.
If you experience frequent belt wear or breakage, see your authorized
Scag service center for belt adjustment.

6.8 CUTTER DECK ADJUSTMENTS

The mower is designed to bag, mulch or side discharge the grass
clippings. During the assembly process at the factory the mower has
been set up to bag the grass clippings with grass collection baffles
installed. If the mower has been converted to either mulch or side
discharge, the grass collection baffles must be reinstalled on the cutter
deck prior to bagging the grass clippings. See Figure 6-10 for grass
collection baffle location.

result in poor bagging perfomance.
