When using the function extender interface, LED "A" has the following meaning during device
startup:
• LED "A" remains ON until the device startup of SCALANCE LPE is complete and a connection
to the SCALANCE XCM-300 has been established.
• LED "A" remains ON permanently if no connection to the SCALANCE XCM-300 is possible.
It can take several minutes to establish a connection between SCALANCE XCM-300 and
SCALANCE LPE.

LED status Meaning during device startup
Off Reset to factory settings is complete.
Flashing The device was connected to the power supply while pressing the
"SET" button and is in the Rescue system.
On The device was connected to the power supply while pressing the
"SET" button and is being reset to factory settings.

Off The device is operating free of errors.
On The device has detected an error.

Flashing Connection establishment to an IEM.

No valid link to the port (for example, communications
partner turned off or cable not connected).
When using the Function Extender Interface, the port LEDs
are always off.
A link is established and the port is working in normal sta‐
