Control Panel

Control Panel

  1. NORMAL CHANNEL INPUTS: Connect instruments here. These two inputs provide sweetened vintage frequency response as per the popular "bright cap removal" modification. Normal input 1 produces full sensitivity; Normal input 2 has lower sensitivity (-6dB) for cleaner response with high-output and pre-amplified instruments.
  2. NORMAL CHANNEL VOLUME: Controls volume level of the normal channel.
  3. NORMAL CHANNEL TREBLE AND BASS: Controls respective highfrequency and low-frequency signal levels of the normal channel.
  4. BRIGHT CHANNEL INPUTS: Connect instruments here. These two inputs access traditional 1960s "Black Panel" tone circuitry, which accentuates high-mid and treble frequencies. Bright input 1 produces full sensitivity; Bright input 2 has lower sensitivity (-6dB) for cleaner response with high-output and pre-amplified instruments.
  5. BRIGHT CHANNEL VOLUME: Controls volume level of the bright channel.
  6. BRIGHT CHANNEL TREBLE AND BASS: Controls respective highfrequency and low-frequency signal levels of the bright channel.
  7. REVERB: Controls reverb effect level. No reverb effect is heard when this control is turned fully counterclockwise. Reverb can also be turned on and off using the included two-button footswitch.
  8. SPEED: Controls rate of the tremolo effect. The included footswitch must be plugged in for the tremolo effect to function.
  9. INTENSITY: Controls depth of the tremolo effect. No tremolo effect is heard when this control is turned fully counterclockwise. As noted above in item "H," the included footswitch must be plugged in for the tremolo effect to function.
  10. POWER JEWEL: Illuminates while amplifier is on.

Rear Panel

Rear Panel

  1. FUSE: Provides electrical overcurrent protection. The mains fuse is not user accessible and should only be replaced by qualified service personnel.
  2. POWER: Turns the amplifier on and off.
  3. STANDBY: Disables speaker output while power is on. To extend tube life, leave switch in STANDBY position for first 60 seconds after turning POWER (L) on. Instead of turning amp off during short breaks, set switch to STANDBY position to further extend tube life and to avoid tube-warmup delay when resuming play.
  4. INTERNAL SPEAKER: Jack for internal 8-ohm speaker. If connecting a different speaker to this jack, it should have an impedance of 8 ohms when this is the only jack in use.
  5. EXTERNAL SPEAKER: Jack to allow use of multiple speakers; wired in parallel with INTERNAL SPEAKER jack (N) and affecting total impedance. External speaker jack does not function when INTERNAL SPEAKER jack (N) is disconnected.
  6. FOOTSWITCH: Connect the included two-button footswitch here. The footswitch must be connected for the amp's tremolo effect to function.
  7. REVERB OUTPUT/INPUT: RCA jacks connecting output/input of reverb pan located on the floor inside the cabinet.
