Aboutcareandstorageof the lens
• Wipe the surthce of the lens clean with a soft
cloth in the following instances:
When there are fingerprints on the lens
sltrtace.
Ii1 hot or humid locations
When tile lens is exposed to salty air such as
at tile seaside.
• Store in a well-ventilated location subject to
little dirt or dust.
• To prevent mold, periodically clean the lens as
described above. It is recommended that you
operat_ yottr canlcorder about once a month to
keep it in optimum state tor a long time.
Onchargingthe pre-installedrechargeable
battery
Your camcorder has a pre-installed
rechargeable batteW to retain the date,
time, and other settings even when the
POWER switch is set to OFF (CHG). The
pre-installed rechargeable batter), is always
charged while your camcorder is connected
to the wall outlet (wall socket) via the
AC Adaptor or while the battery pack is
attached. The rechargeable batter), will be
fully discharged in about 3 months if you
do not use your camcorder at all. Use your
camcorder after charging the pre-installed
rechargeable batter3'.
However, even if the pre installed
rechargeable batter3' is not charged, the
camcorder operation will not be affected as
long as you are not recording the date.
N Procedures
Connect your camcorder to a wall outlet
(wall socket) using the supplied AC
Adaptor, and leave it with the POWER
switch set to OFF (CHG) lbr more than 24
hours.
Power supply
You can use your camcorder in any
countries/regions using the AC Adaptor
supplied with your camcorder within the
AC 100 V to 240 V, 50/60 Hz range. Use
a commercially available AC plug adaptor
[a], if necessary, depending on the design
of the wall outlet [b].

@ While pressing on tile tab, inset your
fingernail into the slit to pull out the battery
case.
@ Place a new battery with tile + side fitting up.
@ Insert the battery case back into the Remote
Commander until it clicks.

• When the lithium battery becomes weak, tile
operating distance of the Remote Commander
may shorten, or the Remote Commander may
not function properly. In this case, replace the
