Sensor element and Digital programmer circuit
(refer to Fig. 42)
Sensor heater terminals
Check across sensor heater terminals.
Normal cold resis-
tance should read about 6 ohm.
In order to make sure if the auto sensor
function of
digital programmer
circuit is 'in working order, do the
following test procedure.
1) Place the water load in the oven.
2) Unsolder:
two
lead
wires
connected
to the sensor terminals.
3) Set auto sensor cooking A1.
ria)
4) Tap the start
pad to start auto
cooking.
5).Auto
cooking
indicator
light starts blinking.
One blink cycle is one second.
6) 10 seconds after start pad is touched, short the disconnected
Jead wires for 5 seconds and then open.
You can
count 10 seconds by 10 blinks of auto indicator light.
Before shorting lead wires, you can watch the sensor heater
glow red.
7) The oven lamp. will im.a little, about a minute after the start pad is touched.
This indicates that the magnetron
9) Auto cooking A1 stops automatically when lead wires are shorted.
If above condition is obtained, you can deter-
mine that the digital programmer circuit is in working order.
DIGITAL PROGRAMMER
CIRCUIT TEST PROCEDURE
After replacing the digital programmer circuit, make the digital programmer circuit test according to the following procedures
in order to make sure that the digital programmer circuit and the microwave oven circuit are working in order.
1.
Connect the power supply cord plug into the wall receptacle and place a water load in the oven, Colon comes out in the
display window.
Tap the reset/stop pad:(button) and press the clock set button.
The display window show 00:00 and the colon will
_ blink.
Enter the time of the day (T.O.D.) by tapping the appropriate number pads (buttons).
For example, if it is 10:25 (a.m. or p.m.), tap 10min. pad once, 10 sec. pad twice and 1 sec. pad 5 times.
The display window will show 10:25 with the colon blinking.
Push the clock set button again.
The colon stops blinking and T.O.D. can be registered into the digital programmer
circuit.

Tap the power select pad (button)
The display window will show 00 00 and the power indicator light you set turns on.
