TURNING THE CAMERA ON FOR THE FIRST TIME
Around the silver shutter release button is the On/Off switch. Push the switch to the
right to turn the camera on.
As soon as the D90 is turned on the LCD on the back lights up and the camera
asks you to pick a language. Highlight the language you would like by using the up
and down buttons on the multi selector to the right of the LCD. Once the language
you want is highlighted, press the OK button in the center of the multi selector.
Next select your time zone. Use the
left and right buttons on the multi
selector to move the yellow stripe to
the correct time zone. Press the OK
button.
Choose to have Daylight Saving Time
on or off. Press the OK button.
Set the date and time. Use the up
and down multi selector buttons to
change the numbers. Use the left
and right buttons to move from one
number box to the next. Press the
OK button when done.
The D90 will then display "Done" and
the LCD will go dark. Your camera is
now ready to take pictures!
FORMATTING YOUR MEMORY CARD
Before you take pictures using a new memory card you should format the card in the camera.
Whenever you want to erase all the photos on the memory card you must format it again.
Press the card into the slot until it locks in place.
