Types of "Memory Stick" that can be
used (notsupplied)
The IC recording medium used by this
camera is a "Memory Stick Duo'. There are
two types of "Memury Stick".
"Memory Stick Duo": you can use a
"Memory Stick Duo" with your
camera.
"Memory Stick": you cannotuse a
"Memory Stick" with your camera.
Other memory cardscannothe used.

When usinga "Memory Stick Duo"
with "Memory Stick" compatible
equipment
Youcan use the "Memury Stick Duo' by
inserting it into the Memury Stick Duo
Adaptur (not supplied).

Notes on the battery pack
• Charge the supplied NP-BG1 hatteJy pack
betore using tile culncra for the first time.
(_ arep 1 in "Read This ,:_r_r")
• The battery pack can he charged even if il is not
completely discharged. Also, ex-cn if the haltery
pack is not fiflly cllarged, you can use the
paltially charged capacily of lhe haltery pack as
is,
• If you do not intend to use tile battery pack tot a
long time, use up the existing charge and
relnove il bOlll your camera, then store it in a
cool. dry place. This is to maintain the battery
pack fimctions (page 119).

This camera is equipped with a C:ut Zeiss
lens which is capable of reproducing sharp
images with excellent contrast.
The lens fur this camera has been produced
under a quality assurance system certified
by Carl Zeiss in accordance with the quality
standards of Carl Zeiss in Germany.
No compensationfor contentsof the
recording
• Tile contents of the recording cunnot he
compensated lor it recording or playback is not
possible due 1o a mallhnction of your camera or
recording media, etc.
Internal memory and "Memory Stick
Duo" backup
• Do not I/IM oil the calneril or renlove l]l_ _ hattely
pack or "Memory Stick Duo" while tile acccss
lamp is lighted, as the internal menlory data or
"Memory Stick Duo" data may be destroyed.
Always prole_I your data by making a back up

Notesonrecording/playback
• This camera is neither dusl-prooi_ nor splash-
proofi nor
waler-prool_ Read "Precautions"
(p*_ge 122) belorc operating the camera.
• Belore you record one-time cxents, make a trial
recording to make sure that tile camera is
working correctly.
• Be carelul not 1o gel tile camera wet. Walm:
enlering the inside of lhe camera may cause
mallunctions which in some cases may not be
repairable.
• Do nol aim lhe camera al tile sun or other bright
light. I1 may cause the malflmction of your
camera.
