Optional connections and settings
Using FM/AM outdoor
antenna
(optional)
Use outdoor antennas if FM/AM radio reception is poor.
oDisconnect
the antenna when the unit is not in use.
oDo not use the outdoor antenna during an electrical storm.
FM outdoor antenna
[Using a TV antenna (not included)]
• Disconnect the FM indoor antenna.
• The antenna should be installed by a
competent technician.
AM outdoor antenna
[Using a vinyl wire (not included)]
Run a piece of vinyl wire horizontally
across a window or other convenient
location.
Leave the AM loop
antenna connected.
Rework your outdoor antenna's 75 _ coaxial cable as follows.
O Remove a piece of the outer
vinyl insulator.
O Carefully pull the tabs apart
to remove the cover.

O Install the coaxial cable.
Clamp the cable conductor, and
wind it on so that it does not
contact anything else.
Clamp with pliers
O Attach the cover.

You can enjoy 7.1ch surround sound by connecting an amplifier using audio cable via the SURROUND
and SURROUND
BACK terminals.
