ANTENNA
CONNECTIONS
The picture quality of color programs and the sound quality largely depend on the outdoor antenna. Choose an antenna that is proper for
your area and set it up properly. Because antenna choice and installation require some technical knowledge, ask your local dealer for advice.
When connecting the outdoor antenna or the CATV to the
ANTENNA terminal:
When using an outdoor UHF and VHF antennas or cable (CATV)

with 75 Q coaxial cable lead, connect directly to the ANTENNA
terminal.

The inscription (EXCEPT VIDEO) appears above the OUTPUT jack for VIDEO on the rear panel, indicating that the VCR signal corresponding
to video input is not output at this jack. This jack should be regarded principally as the picture recording output terminal for VCR.
A VCR is so constituted that the input signal is simultaneously output by the VCR itself, which results in undesirable oscillation.
In order to prevent such oscillation, the unit is constructed so that the video signal does not emerge, hence the inscription (EXCEPT VIDEO).
This design feature permits simultaneous VCR connection.
