@ Manual tuning
1 Set your amplifier's input selector to TUNER.
2 Select the broadcast band.
| 3 Set the tuner to manual tuning mode.
Press the AUTO / MANUAL key.
4 Turn the ACTIVE RECEPTION ON.
The tuner automatically sets the optimum conditions
for receiving FM broadcasts. (See page 19.)

5 Tune in the desired station.

Turn gently to the left or right.
@ Ifyou turn and hold the TUNING/PTY SEL knob to the left or right,
the frequencies change continuously.
TUNING MODE key operation
The bands are switched as follows
every time the |BAND] key is pressed.
Goes out.
Press the key to select the auto (AUTO lighted) or manual (not lighted) mode.

When you turn the TUNING/PTY SEL knob to tune
ina broadcast, the left or right tuning signal indicator
will light red when you near the tuning. point of a
broadcast station. When the tuning pointis reached,
the white center indicator lights according to the
strength of the signal. This sequence.is reversed as
you move farther away from the station's tuning
frequency. When tuning in an AM station, only the
white center indicator lights according to the signal
strength when the broadcast frequency is reached.
Note:
If the signal is weak, the left and right step displays
may show only four points or less, or the left and
right step displays may show unequal numbers of
steps.
