OPERATION (cont.)
8) Before cleaning, repairing, or inspecting, shut off the engine and make certain aii moving parts
have stopped. Disconnect the spark plug wire, and keep the wire away from the plug to prevent
accidental starting.
9) Do not run the engine indoors; exhaust fumes are dangerous.
10) Never operate the tiiier without proper guards, plates, or other safety protective devices in piace.
11)
Keep children and pets away.
12) Do not overload the machine capacity by attempting to tili too deep at too fast a rate.
13) Never operate the machine at high transport speeds on siippery surfaces.
14) Never aliow bystanders near the unit.
15) Use oniy attachments and accessories approved by the manufacturer of the tiiier.
16) Never operate the tiller without good visibility or light.
17) Be careful when tilling in hard ground. The tines may catch in the ground and propei the tiiier for¬
ward. If this occurs, release clutch lever to stop forward motion.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
1)
Keep machine, attachments, and accessories in safe working condition.
2)
Check engine mounting bolts, and other bolts at frequent intervals for proper tightness to be sure
the equipment is in safe working condition.
3)
Never store the machine with fuel in the fuel tank inside a building where ignition sources are pre¬
sent, such as hot water and space heaters, cloths dryers, and the like. Aiiow the engine to cooi
before storing in any enciosure.
4)
Aiways refer to the engine operating instructions for important detaiis if the tiiier is to be stored
for an extended period.
