Setting the Video Status Memory:
1.
Select the source you wish to set (TV, EXT 1, EXT 2 or EXT 3).
2.
Press the MENU button ( (MM) twice to call up Page-2 Menu.
(The following operation can be performed while any of the on-screen
Menus (Page-1, Page-2 or Page-3) is displayed.)
3.
Press "4".
The following appears on the screen.

Press the Control buttons (4 / v /+/-) of the Menu Control section to adjust
each item, while checking the display.

: Press to select the item you wish to adjust.
The magenta-coloured item can be set.

: Press to set the level of the item of your choice. The marker
moves according to the specified level.

The input mode indication (TV, EXT 1, EXT 2 or EXT 3) positioned on the
lower left of the screen blinks once. The on-screen indication disappears in

about 3 seconds to show the setting is completed.
* Repeat steps 1 to 5 to store each input mode setting in memory TV, EXT 1,
EXT 2 and EXT 3.

This allows a channel to be guarded so it cannot be tuned to without an ID num-
ber.
This is effective to prevent children from viewing channels you do not want them
to view.

Important:
@ Up to 4 Real Channels may be guarded. When Real Channels have been mem-
orized in Programme Channei Positions, these same Programme Channels can
be guarded.
@ Entering of 3-digit ID number allows a guarded channel to be viewed.
@ Timer setting for a guarded channel is not possible.
@ The ID numbers for guarded channels are cleared if a power failure occurs (or
the main power is switched off).
The ID number can also be re-set if forgotten by disconnecting from the main
power. The ID number for any guarded channels will then be "000".
@ When
selecting a Programme
Channel
using the Channel access buttons,
guarded channels are automatically skipped.
e@ When Programming is being performed or when the main power is turned on
after having been turned off, all channels, including guarded channels, can be
selected.
