Important The TXC580 will not operate unless it has been registered to a Uniden TRU5865 or TRU5885. Before the additional handset can be used, the battery must be charged and it must be registered with the base. -

Register the Handset You need to register the TXC580 before use. To register the additional handset, place the TXC580 handset on the original unit’s base for at least 5 seconds. The status LED on the original base will flash indicating that registration is occurring. -

The REN assigned to each terminal equipment provides an indication of the maximum number of terminals allowed to be connected to a telephone interface. The termination on an interface may consist of any combination of devices subject only to the requirement that the sum of the Ringer Equivalence Numbers of all the devices does not exceed five. -
