∙ Do not leave the appliance unattended
while in use.
∙ Do not allow the power cord to touch
any hot part of the appliance.
∙ During operation, the appliance must be
placed on a heat-resistant, stable and
level surface, impervious to splashes
and stains. When cooking food with a
high fat or moisture content, splashes
are not always avoidable.
∙ Do not position the grill next to a wall or
corner, and ensure that no inflammable
materials are stored near it.
∙ Do not position the appliance on or
near hot surfaces, open flames or
inflammable vapours.
∙ Caution: Do not operate the appliance
outdoors.
∙ Before use, place the reversible grill
plate on the appliance over the heating
element.
∙ Always remove the plug from the wall
socket
- after use,
- in case of any malfunction, and
- before cleaning the appliance.
∙ When removing the plug from the wall
socket, never pull on the power cord;
always grip the plug itself.
∙ No responsibility will be accepted if
damage results from improper use, or if
these instructions are not complied with.
Intended Use
The electric raclette grill is designed for
low-fat grilling of meat, fish or vegetables
and for gratinating with cheese.
Any use other than that described in these
instructions must be considered improper
and may lead to personal injury or material
damage.
Before first use
∙ Remove any packing materials
completely.
∙ Before first use, wipe the reversible grill
plate and mini-pans with a damp cloth.
∙ Leave the appliance with the reversible
grill plate and mini-pans in place to heat
up for about 10 minutes without food to
allow any unpleasant odour to dissipate
(you may notice slight smoke coming
from the appliance). Ensure adequate
ventilation by opening windows or
balcony doors.
∙ Clean the appliance afterwards as
described in Cleaning and care.
Reversible grill plate
∙ Before use, place the reversible grill
plate on the appliance.
∙ You can use either side of the reversible
grill plate. The ribbed section is ideal for
grilling meat, sausages, etc., whereas
the smooth one is particularly suitable
for fish and vegetables.
∙ Oil lightly before use.
Variable thermostat and indicator light
∙ The thermostat serves to regulate the
temperature between MIN and MAX.
∙ The indicator light shows the current
heating status:
Heating on = indicator light on
Heating off = indicator light off
∙ After use, return the thermostat to its
lowest setting and unplug the appliance
from the mains supply.
