not run the scanner off the keyboard. The keyboard has two
ports. Those ports are for right or left-handed people so they
can plug the mouse in where it is better for them.

Problem:
An Anti-Virus program was running while you installed the driver.
Anti-Virus programs by their protective nature automatically think
anything making changes to the system folder is a Virus and takes
appropriate action. In other words it re-writes the data being
installed to ensure it does not infect your system. Normally this is
fine, but if the anti-virus software re-writes the VistaScan driver
file, it does not operate properly.
Solution:
Following these steps to correct the problem:
1.
Delete the VistaScan folder from your hard drive along with the
TWAIN, TWAIN32, and Twain_32 folders stored in your
Windows folder.
2.
Now you need to shutdown (or End Task) all the background
programs running on your computer. Background programs are
applications that you do not usually see running.
3.
Press and hold down the CTRL+ALT keys and tap the Delete
key once. This brings up the Close Programs window.
