Adjusting the backrest:
L
Note:
The backrest can be adjusted
by one position by moving the
topcase.
It is advisable to have this
adjustment carried out by your
authorised BMW motorcycle
dealer.
• Place the motorcycle on its
main (centre) stand
– Make sure the ground is
level and firm.
• Open the seat (

• Remove securing screws 1
and 2
• Raise the rear seat slightly
and disconnect plug 3 of the
seat heating
• Carefully pull the rear seat for-
ward
• Remove plugs 4 and 5 for the
loudspeakers from their hold-
ers and turn them counter-
clockwise to disconnect
• Remove cables of plugs 4
and 5 from their holders
