3. PHONO MUTING
The unit incorporates an automatic muting function
which is operational in the PHONO
mode and which
suppresses the noise generated when the stylus des-
cends
onto
the
disk.
This
is set every
time
the
PHONO
indicator flashes at 0.5 second intervals by
pressing the PHONO switch. When playing disks, de-
press the PHONO
switch once before the stylus des-
cends onto the disk even when the Function switches
@ have been switched to PHONO.
NOTE: The
initial part of the music
piece cannot
clearly be heard depending
on the timing of
the stylus descent.

function is automatically selected and play begins
("One-Touch" system).
In addition, it is possible to
operate the turntable, tuner or tape deck by operat-
ing the amplifiers function switches.
This causes
the component to start functioning.
Check the connections of the tuner (yellow), turnta-
ble (brown) and tape deck (green) function control
signal cords.
Always connect the one-touch tape
deck to the TAPE-1 jacks.
