CASSETTE DECK/VCR operation
Press the MODE CHECK button to light the
VCR button, and operate as desired using
the following buttons.
[Operations common to the cassette deck/
VCRI
1) () (Power)
Use to turn ON/OFF the power of the cassette deck and
VCR.
(Cannot turn ON/OFF some cassette decks.)

Pauses playback and recording (sets still pictures).
(3) a
Rewinds the tape. Pressing this button during playback
starts fast rewind playback.
Stops tape running.
(5)
Starts playback.

Fast forwards the tape. Pressing this button during play-
back starts fast forward playback.
[VCR only]
7) CHANWEL + ,-
Changes the channels of the TV tuner in the VCR,
(8: Number buttons
Use for selecting the channels of the TV tuner inthe VCR.
39: TV/VCR
Use to switch the VCR antenna output to TV or VCR.

Sets the channels selected using the Number buttons,
(Some models may not require this step.)
[Cassette deck only] *
For double cassette decks, the 8: Number buttons can be
used to operate deck 1 also.
(Some models cannot be operated.)

same time.
® Pressing 2: Wand @ simultaneously will also set REC
for the VCR and cassette deck.
REC cannot be set for deck 1 of double cassette decks.
