To change the equalizer display
Each time you hold down DISPLAY for a
few seconds, the equalizer display changes
to show one of the following displays.

Adjusting the Audio
Emphasis
You can adjust the audio emphasis using
the following two functions:
¢ Graphic Equalizer
¢ Surround Effect
Adjusting the Sound
(graphic equalizer)
You can adjust the sound by raising or
lowering the levels of specific frequency
ranges.
Before operation, first select the audio
emphasis you want for your basic sound.

frequency band.

2 Turn the JOG dial to adjust level.

3 Repeat steps | and 2.
4 Press ENTER/NEXT when finished.
The equalizer disappear from the
display but you can hear the effect of the
adjustments.
Note
elf vou choose another menu audio
emphasis (other than "EFFECT OFF") the
adjusted sound effect is lost. To retain the
adjusted sound effect for tuture use, store
it ina personal file. (See "Making a
Personal Audio Emphasis (personal
file)'".)
Activating the Sound Field
(surround effect)
You can adjust the surround eftect. First
select from three types of programmed
surround effects according to the type of
software you have.
1 Press DSP (or press DSP MODE on the
remote) repeatedly until the surround
effect you desire appears in the display.

The surround effect becomes stronger as
the level number increases.
