Installing an S5800-54S switch in a 19-inch
rack

Installation procedure
1. Attach the mounting
brackets to the switch.
2. Attach chassis rails to the
switch.
3. Install cage nuts in the rack
posts.
4. Attach slide rails to the
rack posts.
5. Connect the grounding
cable to the primary
grounding point
6. Install the switch in the
rack.
NOTE:
The depth of the rack must be a minimum of 1000 mm (39.37 in).

The S5800-54S switch has three grounding points, as shown in

19. The primary grounding point and auxiliary grounding point 1 are
on the right side panel. If you use one of these grounding points, you
must connect the grounding cable to the grounding point before you
mount the switch in the rack.
