« VOLUME
buttons
Préss the + button to turn the volume up.
Press the — button to turn the volume down.
* SRC button
Each time you press the SRC button, the mode switches as
follows:
Tuner mode
cb mode
External disc control mode
AUX mode (KDC-601 1/5011 only)
¢ The mode switches to the next mode from any mode which
cannot be used.
¢ The external disc control mode will differ depending on the unit
that is connected.
© The AUX mode is available only when the changer/AUX
switching adapter KCA-S210A/CA-C1AX is connected to this
unit.
+ ATT button
Turns down the volume quickly. To return the volume to its
original level, press the button again. Turning the volume all the
way down also cancels attenuation.
Tuner features
* Ke</mr! (TUNE) buttons
Press the kd button to make decreasing seeks (using the preset
tuning mode).
Press the mi button to make increasing seeks (using the preset
tuning mode).
Use to move the cursor left or right during station name input.
Pekin ype
« AM/FM button
During station name input, selects digits and symbols.
OK button
During station name input, stores the already input data in
memory and ends the input mode.
During Station name preset play mode, selects station.
DNPP button
Enters and cancels the Station Name Preset Play mode.
mil button
Enters and cancels the Program Type Selection (PTY) mode.
Selects the type of characters at the time of entering the station
name.
CD/External
disc control features

Press the ké<@ button to search through the tracks backward.
Press the ®t button to search through the tracks forward.
Use to move the cursor while entering disc name.
'DISC buttons (for disc changers)
Press the DISC—
button to search through the discs backward.
Press the DISC+ button to search through the discs forward.
Select numbers and symbols while entering disc name.
mir button
When a disc ts playing, this button pauses the play.
Press the same button again to start play again.
Selects the type of characters at the time of entering the disc
name.
OK button
During disc name input, stores the already input data in memory
and ends the input mode.
Selects disc during the disc name preset play mode.
DNPP button (for disc changers}
Enters and cancels the Disc Name Preset Play mode.
