On the IMPEDANCE SELECTOR Note
The STR-GX909ES/STR-GX808ES have the IMPEDANCE When connecting the speaker cord to the speaker terminal,
SELECTOR for front or center speaker(s).
¢ When using the front or center speaker(s) having nominal
impedance from 4 ohms or higher, set to the 4 Q position.
¢ When using the front or center speaker(s) having nominal
impedance from 8 ohms or higher, set to the 8 Q position.
¢ When using both FRONT SPEAKERS A and B systems,
use the speakers having the nominal impedance of more
than 8 ohms and set the IMPEDANCE SELECTOR to the 4
Q position.
make sure that the polarity (+ and —) of the speaker cord is
correct. If the polarity is reversed at either speaker, the
sound will be distorted and will lack bass.
