PUT BATTERIES INTO REMOTE
CONTROL UNIT
(PD-6700)
Open the lid of the battery compartment on the rear of the remote
control unit, and insert the batteries, taking care to align the (+)
and (—) polarities correctly.
NOTE:
®@ Inorder to prevent battery leakage, remove the batteries when
not using the remote control unit for an extended period (one
month or more). In the event of battery leakage, carefully wipe
away any battery fluid inside the compartment, and replace the
batteries with new ones.
@ Do not allow books or other objects to rest on top of the re-
mote control unit, since the buttons may be depressed, caus-
ing faster exhaustion of the batteries.
Improper ur 2 of batteries can cause dangerous leakage or rupture.
Be sure to observe the following safety points:
@
Insert batteries with positive (+) and negative (—) polarities
aligned correctly as shown
inside the battery compartment.
@
Do not mix new and used batteries.
@
Even batteries of the same type may have differing voltages de-
pending on the manufacturer. Do not mix different types of bat-
teries.
REMOTE CONTROL OPERATIONS (PD-6700, PD-5700 ONLY)
When operating the remote control unit, point the unit's infrared
signal transmitter at the remote control receiver (REMOTE SENSOR)
on the front panel of the player. The remote control unit can be
used within a range of about 7 meters (23 feet) from the remote
sensor, and within angles of up to about 30 degrees.
NOTE:

/f the remote control sensor window is in a position where it
receives strong light such as sunlight or fluorescent light, con-
trol may not be possible.

Operate the PD-4700 using the remote control unit which ac-
companies the amplifier. (See Page 6)
