Warning indicators and messages
If a code starting with a letter of the
alphabet appears, your camera has a self-
diagnosis display. The last two digits
/indicated by riD) will differ depending on
the state of the camera.
If you are unable to solve the problem even
after trying the following corrective actions
a few times, contact your Sony dealer or
local authorized Sony service facility.
C:32:riri
• There is trouble _ith )our camera's
hardware. Turn the power off and on
again.
C:13: rill
• The
camera
cannot read or write data

the "Memory Stick". Reqnsert Ihe
"Memo U Stick" several times.
• An unformatted "Memo U Stick" is
inserted. Format the "Memo W Stick"
(page 50).
• The inserted "Memory Stick" cannot be
used with your camera, or the data is
damaged. Insert a ne_ "Memory Stick"
(page 89).

• A camera malfimction has occurred.
Initialize the camera (page 52), then
turn the power on again.
If the following messages appear, follow
the instructions.
Turn the power off and on again
• A problem with the h:ns has caused an
erroE
• The battery level is low. Charge Ihe
batteries (_ step 1 in "Read This
Finst'). Depending on the conditions of
use or the type of battery, the indicator
may flash even though there arc still 5
to l 0 milmtes of remaining battery time
left.
System error
• Turn the po_er off aM then on again
(_ step 2 "Read This FiI:_t').
Internal memory error
• Turn the po_er off aM then on again
(_ step 2 "Read This FiI:_t').
Memory Stick error
• Insert the _Memory Stick correctly.
• The inserted Memory Stick" cannot be
used in your camera (page 89).
• The "Memory Stick" is damaged.
• The terminal section of the "Memory
Stick" is dirty.
Memory Stick type error
• The inserted 'Memory Stick" cannot be
used in your camera (page 89).
Format error
• Format the media again (pages 49_50).
