Apply
the brake
several
times and
check
for
free wheel
rotation
when
released.
Other
Checks:
Make
sure
the brake
rod,
brake
arm,
spring
and
fasteners are
in
good condition.
Wear
Indicator:
When the brake
is
applied,
an
arrow
(l)
at-
tached
to
the
brake arm
(2) moves
toward
a
reference
mark
(3)
on
the brake panel
(4).
If
the
arrow
aligns
with
the
reference
mark
on
full
application
of
the brake, the
brake
shoes
must
be replaced,
CLUTCH
This motorcycle
has a
hydraulically
acti-
vated
clutch.
There
are
no adjustments
to
perform
but
the clutch
system
must
be
inspected
periodically
for
fluid
level
and
leakage.
lf the
control lever
freeplay
becomes
excessive
and
the
motorcycle
creeps
or
stalls when
shifted into
gear,
or
if
the clutch
slips,
causing
acceleration
to
lag behind
engine
speed,
there is
probably
air
in
the clutch
system
and
it
must
be
bled
out.
See
your
authorized
Honda
dealer
for
this
service.
Fluid
level:
Check
that
the
fluid
level is above the
lower
level
mark
(l). If
the
fluid
level is near
the
lower level
line,
it
indicates
fluid
leakage.
See
your
authorized
Honda
dealer.
Other
Checks:
Make
sure there are
no
fluid
leaks.
Check
for
deterioration
ol
cracks
in
the
hose and
fittings.
